The title may not only refer to Dracula's resurrection, but Sonia Belmont's mysterious resurrection from her grave. As such, it deals with Trevor Belmont ( Richard Armitage ), the last living member of the disgraced Belmont clan of superpowered vampire slayers.
CASTLEVANIA SEASON 3 DRACULA RESURRECTION SERIES
On April 27, 2021, the demo was released to the public via the owner and featured on the Sega Dreamcast Info Preservation Games site for archiving and distribution to the public. It's based on the Castlevania series of games, specifically the prequel Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse with elements of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness thrown in. The available areas (and other screens) on the "Selection Level Menu" are: Her attack patterns are still very basic, though, and she barely fights back, only spewing poison every once in a while. The fight consists of two phases, the first where she slithers around in her serpentine-like body and the second in which she turns into a large head that floats about. The demo also features a boss fight for one of the levels: Medusa. Dracula's first death happened in 1476 at the hands of Trevor Belmont, Alucard, Sypha Belnades, and Grant Danasty. His first resurrection happened three years later when Death resurrected Dracula through the body of the dead forgemaster Isaac, though he was sent back to the grave by Hector, ridding the land of Dracula for a century. The available areas are not connected to each other and instead each one can be accessed through the START menu at any time. Upon load, the company screens are displayed (Dreamcast, Sega and Konami), then the title screen appears for only one second and then the game automatically starts already in one of the levels. With his dark powers, he built an army of creatures and his fortress, Castlevania. The game features five fully playable stages (although allegedly the "Corridor" stage doesn't load), including enemies and hazards (apparently, no damage is yet implemented for the latter). Originally a human called Mathias Cronqvist, Dracula fell into madness after the death of his first wife and became an immortal vampire thanks to the powers of the Crimson Stone. The game allegedly is a pre E3 demo still in an early beta build, dated on November 5, 1999, under the company KCEA (presumably for "Konami Computer Entertainment America") on the disc's label. On April 4, 2021, a video called Castlevania Resurrection Exists! was uploaded on YouTube on the channel cvr exists (for "Castlevania Resurrection Exists", apparently exclusively created for this purpose) which showcases a fully playable prototype of Castlevania: Resurrection.
